Longtime student, Shyrl "Tandy" Johnson, won two Indie Original Awards for 2019 in Jazz: Best overall song for "Shelter from the Rain" and Best Vocal Performance for "Walk out the Door". Both are her own original compositions, and can be found on her CD entitled "The Language of Love".
